Post-Surgery Support
Gentle visits to help dogs recover comfortably at home following surgery or injury. Visits may include assistance with short toilet breaks, medication, feeding, low impact activities, and ongoing monitoring to ensure your dog remains comfortable and settled and is progressing with recovery.

Weight Management Support
For dogs following a veterinarian-recommended weight management plan, visits can help support recommended feeding and exercise routines, and consistency while you’re at work or away during the day.
Progress reports can be very helpful during this period including tracking excersise, weight, condition, appetite and any symptoms or reactions to a change in diet.

Senior Dog Support
Older dogs often benefit from slower walks, low impact activities, closer observation, and a little extra patience. Visits are tailored to suit the pace and needs of senior dogs, including those experiencing reduced mobility, vision, or hearing.
In addition, support in monitoring and recording any changes to behaviour, health and appetite of senior dogs can help owners identify symptoms of aging early and seek professional guidance.

Companion Visits
Sometimes dogs reach a stage where comfort, quiet company, and a familiar presence matter most. Companion visits are designed for dogs who may be slowing down, feeling more vulnerable, or simply needing a little extra reassurance while their owners are away.
Time may include sitting together, talking to them, helping them outside, and assisting with feeding and medications. These visits are about kindness and comfort, making sure your dog feels cared for when you're not there, and that you have the peace of mind that they're not left alone for long periods.

A little bit about me

Hi there, I’m Antonia, and my love of dogs has been lifelong.

I have always had dogs in my life and I understand how important it is to know they’re being cared for properly when you’re not there, or you simply need a bit of help. I also know, from experience, how difficult it can be to find calm, reliable and tailored care that feels genuinely thoughtful and not rushed.

Before starting The Kind Way Pet Care, I spent over 20 years working in a corporate environment. That experience shaped how I work today, with reliability, clear communication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

This service is one I would have wanted for my own dogs when I was working full time: unhurried, one-on-one care in the comfort of my own home, provided by someone I trust who takes the time to really understand my dogs.
I have also been in the position of having a special needs dog, so I have deep appreciation and passion for specialised care, and can support you with the unique care your dog needs.

I intentionally care for a limited number of households at a time so I can offer consistency, familiarity, and personal attention, both for your dog and for you.
